Carly Hetland is a senior attorney at Grzeca Law Group in Milwaukee, where she has practiced immigration law since 2021. In four years, she has distinguished herself through legal skill, leadership and measurable impact on clients and colleagues.

Hetland currently manages a complex caseload of 642 foreign nationals. Her consistent excellence in case strategy and client service has directly contributed to a 61% increase in revenue for one of the firm’s largest corporate clients. She has led multiple “Immigration 101” presentations and PERM recruitment training sessions, helping employers navigate compliance and workforce planning. Her expertise was further recognized when she was selected as one of the youngest panel speakers at an American Immigration Lawyers Association National Conference.

As the firm’s most senior attorney, Hetland developed and implemented a comprehensive onboarding program for new attorneys and legal staff, streamlining training and strengthening the firm’s long-term talent development. She is committed to elevating clients, colleagues, and the broader profession through mentorship and practical guidance.

Hetland serves on AILA’s Membership Experience Committee and contributes to planning the organization’s Annual Conference. She also serves as one of the Wisconsin Chapter’s Pro Bono Liaisons with AILA National, helping coordinate volunteer legal work and expanding access to immigration legal services.
