Gemini Legal announced late last month that it has introduced DraftEngine, a legal forms platform designed to help civil litigation firms reduce repetitive administrative work and speed up case processing.
The company said the software targets common workflow problems in litigation practices, including manual data entry, procedural form errors, outdated forms, and fragmented approval processes. It allows staff to enter information about a matter once and apply it across related document bundles. Firms can create reusable filing packets, route documents to supervising attorneys for review and approval, and upload internal templates or local court forms to standardize drafting practices.
The platform initially focuses on California, with a library of more than 5,000 state and county court forms that Gemini Legal says are updated weekly. The company said the system is intended to reduce the risk of filing delays caused by outdated or incorrect forms, while supporting civil practice areas such as personal injury, family law, real estate, and probate.
Justin Castillo, Gemini Legal’s vice president of engineering, said the product was developed after the company identified inefficiencies in how paralegals and attorneys manage form-heavy litigation work.
