Environmental Law Attorney – Todd Palmer, Michael Best

Even after three decades in practice, Todd Palmer remains passionate about finding solutions to the often-controversial challenges in environmental law.

“Environmental law sits at the intersection of law, science, policy and industry — no two matters are ever the same,” Palmer said. “The work is both intellectually challenging and deeply impactful, helping clients navigate complex regulations while contributing to meaningful environmental stewardship is rewarding.”

A partner at Michael Best, Palmer takes a proactive approach to counseling clients on regulatory and compliance matters, particularly with regard to the Clean Air Act. He currently serves on the State’s Air Management Study Group.

“Serving on the Air Management Study Group has reinforced my belief that collaboration between regulators, environmental interest groups and industry is not only possible but essential. When all sides engage in open, informed dialogue, it leads to more practical, science-based policies that achieve shared environmental goals without stifling innovation,” Palmer said.

Additionally, he has co-authored the Second and Third Editions of the Wisconsin Environmental Law Handbook.
