At Boardman Clark, Walker steps up for team success

As a paralegal at Boardman Clark, Michele Walker often finds herself steering the ship.

Walker has been with the company since 1986, joining when it still went by the name Lathrop & Clark. Her training in secretarial science put her in line for a position as a secretarial legal assistant.

“I worked with some really great attorneys along the way who encouraged me to grow and went to bat for me when I was being recognized for a paralegal position,” Walker said.

Walker is known for her willingness to take on new work, ability to learn quickly and her remarkable mastery of her job responsibilities. Although she now has years of experience in the professions, she still found something new was in store for her in 2020.

She has been at the forefront both of the firm’s efforts to make sure employees work from home and to recruit new attorneys and help others move on to the next stage of their careers
“Michele is a rock star! I don’t know what I would do without her,” said Boardman Clark attorney Jason Hunt.

Walker said she is driven by her dedication to her fellow employees, who never fail to let her know how indispensable she is.

“When you know that, it’s easy to want to step up and make sure your team succeeds,” she said.

Hunt said Walker somehow manages to handle a large docket, her own workload and keep the various attorneys on task.

“Michele is also an absolute joy to work with,” he said. “She works hard, is kind, conscientious and forward thinking. Clients and co-workers love her.”
