Jon Bellows has served as 4th Judicial District administrator for the Wisconsin Circuit Courts — Office of Director of State Courts for approximately 14 years, where he provides comprehensive support to judges and court personnel across the district.

In his role, Bellows manages complex operational challenges that extend beyond traditional administrative duties. When a judge needed to preside over a trial at a correctional institution, he conducts advance site visits to secure appropriate space, coordinate IT assistance and arrange security while liaising with corrections, state and county officials. His proactive approach and attention to detail helped ensure the complex situation proceeded smoothly.

Bellows serves as a key resource for judges facing high-profile cases, providing advice, support and resources while maintaining prompt communication. Working alongside Chief Judge Guy Dutcher, Bellows ensures judges have necessary resources for success. The pair regularly checks in with district judges, particularly during emergencies or significant issues, providing support that colleagues describe as genuine and caring.

Prior to his current position, Bellows served as a district administrator with the courts in North Carolina, bringing extensive experience to Wisconsin’s judicial system.
