Milwaukee Police to withhold reporting of gender and race of victims

The Milwaukee Police Department issued a statement Wednesday that officials will no longer report the race or gender of crime victims in Milwaukee.

“To maintain both the privacy and dignity of crime victims, their families and loved ones, the Milwaukee Police Department will no longer proactively report out to the community victim information related to gender or race,” Milwaukee Police Department officials said.
