Former Wisconsin police officer charged with 5 bestiality felony counts

A former Kewaskum police officer is facing several felony charges.

Former school resource officer Steven Rosales was arrested by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office on April 22 on three counts of bestiality with a dog, according to Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney and court documents.

Rosales, who resides on 100 block of New Cassel St. in Campbellsport, has been charged with five felony counts.

On April 24, Judge Douglas Edelstein ordered cash bond set at $100,000 and that Rosales “shall not possess or have contact with any animal or livestock. Defendant shall not possess any pornography,” according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 2 p.m. on May 31 at the Fond du Lac County City/County Government Center – 2nd Floor.

Fond du Lac County Assistant District Attorney Kristin Menzl will be representing the state.

Milwaukee criminal defense attorney Conner Helvig is representing Rosales.
