Known for his thoughtful and client-first approach to mergers and acquisitions, Joseph Camilli works closely with entrepreneurs and small business owners across Wisconsin to demystify the transaction process.
Camilli is a shareholder with von Briesen & Roper‘s Business Practice Group, serving as chair of the Start-Up and Next Level Planning Section and co-chair of the Independent Sales Representative Section.
His practice focuses on business and corporate issues, mergers and acquisitions and employment matters. Camilli understands that most business owners don’t know where to start when preparing for a sale. By listening and learning their goals, he breaks down the process into clear, manageable steps.
For start-ups, he recognizes the dual challenge of accessing capital and building strategic investor networks, seeking to help clients tap into Wisconsin’s growing venture ecosystem.
“I have found that the Wisconsin start-up community is extremely cooperative and supportive. For the most part, the people and organizations that make up this community are all pulling in the same direction: making Wisconsin economically thrive,” Camilli said.
He believes a cooperative mindset leads to better outcomes, favoring a reasoned approach over a “maximalist” one, allowing clients to move forward with clarity, control and peace of mind.
