For Scott Fiducci, the practice of mergers and acquisitions is far from a zero-sum game.
Fiducci is a shareholder at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren‘s Corporate Law Practice, where he additionally focuses on debt and equity investment transactions, corporate governance and business counseling.
Over the past three decades, he has counseled family-owned, privately held businesses and entrepreneurs across a range of industries. Fiducci’s approach is rooted in compassion and meaningful acknowledgement that non-financial goals are sometimes more important to sellers, especially for family-founded businesses concerned with legacy, workforce treatment and generational career paths.
“I’ve had the privilege of working with many family-owned and founded businesses over the years. These business owners usually invested their lives over generations and made really significant sacrifices. As a result, this is very personal to them, and one of the most monumental events of their lives,” Fiducci said. “I keep that at the forefront of my work. I think of how I’d want someone to manage the transaction if it were my family.”
