Meredith Traudt, associate general counsel at Baird, is always on the lookout to learn something new.
After graduating college, she did not have law school on her mind, but that changed after working an entry-level job at Baird. Traudt decided to pursue a legal career with a focus on finances. After graduating from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law, she held several other legal roles before returning to Baird in 2022.
“Working for Baird has been a great experience because it gives me the opportunity to take on new responsibilities and grow as an attorney. I get to work on many different tasks on a daily basis,” Traudt said.
At Baird, Traudt provides legal support for Baird’s privacy and cybersecurity and supporting the Public Finance unit.
“As an in-house counsel, you are often tasked with a wide variety of legal matters on any given day,” she said. “You need to be knowledgeable in many areas of law so you can address different matters as they arise and know when it’s appropriate to use outside counsel.”
