Powerlist – In-House Counsel – Jesús Gonzalez 

Working as an in-house counsel at Rockwell Automation means no two days are the same for Jesús Gonzalez.  

Gonzalez, general counsel of Americas & Global Market Access at Rockwell Automation, drives the company’s strategy of how it sells its offerings through its PartnerNetwork and is the legal business partner to other critical functions in Rockwell’s Global Sales, including the enterprise customer experience and revenue management organizations. 

“I love coming up with new ideas as we work on cross-functional teams as we work toward a successful outcome,” he said. 

Gonzalez served as Rockwell’s first-ever Latin America General Counsel for six years before relocating to the United States in 2014 and served as assistant general counsel for Rockwell’s Architecture & Software and Lifecycle segments. Before joining Rockwell, Gonzalez served as legal counsel for GE and Santamarina y Steta, one of Mexico’s largest full-service law firms. 

“When you work (as a general counsel), every day is different and you need to be a generalist since you can be dealing with tax issues, commercial issues and more,” Gonzalez said.
