Legal All-Star – Chelsea Molitika – La Fleur Law Office

Fond childhood memories of accompanying her grandfather, Ron Jaskolski, to court ignited Chelsea Molitika’s passion for law, even as she initially pursued a decade-long adventure living in France. Upon returning to the states, her natural choice was to pursue a career in law.

“I absolutely understood nothing at the time, but I very keenly remember the benches, the yellow pads of note paper, and the courthouse in Milwaukee,” said Molitika. “I grew up working at the law office anytime I could”

Molitika is a paralegal with Milwaukee’s La Fleur Law Office, where her perceptiveness and positive attitude are defining traits, according to Catherine La Fleur.

“She never loses her cool and is kind to everyone: courts, counsel, clients, staff, opposing parties’ counsel and staff. She is perceptive and can figure out what needs to be done without being told.,” La Fleur said. “She makes coming to work fun.”

Known for fostering a positive atmosphere in the workplace, Molitika operates by prioritizing understanding and collaboration. She believes that rather than focusing on what’s wrong, it’s essential to recognize and align tasks with each team member’s strengths. Molitika’s meticulous observation and analysis skills create a workflow that prioritizes positive problem-solving in every aspect of her role.

“My ability to pull the important information out of the minutia is what contributes to making a difference in a case,” Molitika said. “I would also say my ability to create an Excel spreadsheet in my sleep also contributes to organizing the office environment.”

In addition to office efficiency, she acts as a mentor to less experienced paralegals, emphasizing hands-on learning. Molitika focuses on identifying their strengths while guiding them through the complexities of law with practical examples and active involvement in real cases. Her belief in learning by doing echoes her own experience in the legal field.

One guiding principle she cherishes is her grandfather’s advice to listen more than she speaks. Molitika remains committed to listening and learning, continuously broadening her love for family law and its impact on the firm’s clients.
