Tom Sheehan, the Wisconsin Court System’s public information officer, has retired.

The Wisconsin Law Journal received an email from Sheehan on Sept. 15. When the Wisconsin Law Journal replied to that email on Sept. 18 an automated message was received that Sheehan had retired.

On Sept. 21, the Wisconsin Court System issued a statement:

“Tom Sheehan has retired from the Wisconsin Court System as the Public Information Officer.  If you have an inquiry about Wisconsin Court System public information, you may send your message to (REDACTED). This is a monitored email. Only emails to the Public Information Office are being accepted until a successor is named who can directly response to communications phone inquiries.”

As previously reported by the Wisconsin Law Journal, the former director of Wisconsin’s court system who was fired by liberal state Supreme Court justices the day after they gained control of the panel has filed complaints against his replacement and the justices who voted to oust him.
