Randall Crocker, president and CEO of von Briesen & Roper, died unexpectedly over the weekend, according to a press release issued by the law firm on Tuesday.

Crocker joined the Milwaukee firm in 1988 and began serving as president and CEO in 2004. Under his leadership, the firm went from having 162 employees in 2004 to more than 350 in nine offices throughout Wisconsin.

Crocker was born in Madison in 1954. He graduated from Drake University and earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School in 1979.

The board member John Rocco was appointed to succeed Crocker as president and CEO of von Briesen.

In a statement, Rocco said, “The dedicated management and client teams that Randy put in place will carry on in the spirit of teamwork and superior service he fostered as president and CEO. We will miss him greatly and are committed to carrying on in the fashion he would expect of us.”
