Applications available for Milwaukee County Circuit Court judge spot

Gov. Scott Walker is taking applications for a soon-to-be vacant circuit court judge position in Milwaukee County.

The seat will be vacated by Judge Charles Kahn Jr., who will leave the bench on Nov. 22. The appointed judge is expected to serve until at least next spring, when an election will be held for the seat.

Only one candidate, Assistant District Attorney Janet Protasiewicz, has announced that she will run for Kahn’s seat.

Those interested in applying can find information at Walker’s website. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Nov. 19.
