When Benjamin S. Wagner began his undergraduate work, he planned to follow his grandfather’s footsteps into medicine. By his junior year, he realized that being a doctor was not his calling.
Instead, he decided to study law, as his father, Milwaukee Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey Wagner, had done. While taking a trial advocacy class in law school, the younger Wagner found his true calling.
When he was hired by Habush Habush & Rottier S.C., he found the place to fulfill that calling. Since joining the firm six years ago, he has worked on 24 jury trials, acting as lead counsel on 15 of them. In addition to the mentoring and support he has received while handling trials, Wagner said he is grateful for the encouragement that has allowed him to work with groups like Legal Action of Milwaukee, Jewish Family Services, Milwaukee World Festivals Inc. and the Milwaukee Young Lawyers Association.
