Drawing on more than a decade of research experience in microbiology, immunology and disease mechanisms, Tambryn VanHeyningen, Ph.D., brings an inventor’s mindset to her intellectual property practice.
VanHeyningen is a partner at Quarles & Brady‘s Madison office. She serves as the chair of the firm’s Patent—Pharmaceuticals, Chemistry and Biotech Group and Madison/Minneapolis office chair for the Intellectual Property Group. Her practice focuses on domestic and international patent prosecution.
Her patent work encompasses vaccines, antibodies, gene therapies, tissue regeneration, plant patents, diagnostics and drug delivery methods. VanHeyningen counsels clients on strategies to safeguard innovation while positioning them for long-term growth in highly competitive industries.
She holds degrees from Kalamazoo College (B.A.), Washington University in St. Louis School of Law (J.D.) and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (Ph.D.).
