“They used edited clips to viciously misquote me,” former President Donald Trump said Monday in a written statement to his supporters.

According to an email obtained by the Wisconsin Law Journal, many Democrats and many in the mainstream news media allegedly pushed “hoaxes, fake headlines, and outright LIES to keep control,” Trump said.

President Joe Biden took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to accuse Trump of trying to recreate January 6, 2021.

It’s clear this guy wants another January 6,” Biden posted to the X social platform on March 17, 2024.

Biden’s comments were in response to an edited video of Trump saying there would be “a bloodbath” if he was not reelected. However, Trump said not only was that video doctored, but the comment was taken completely out of context as Trump was speaking specifically about the auto industry.

Trump further pointed out how former Speaker Nancy Pelosi went on international television, allegedly lying to the American people about what happened at Trump’s Ohio speech.

“They even had Nancy Pelosi push this hoax live on CNN! She lied directly to the American people,” Trump said.

As previously reported, during an exclusive interview with the Wisconsin Law Journal, North Carolina-based attorney Cleta Mitchell (former Milwaukee Foley & Lardner partner) called out the news media for its biased coverage of President Trump.

“The (media) coverage … and everything leading up to them has been nothing short of astonishingly vacuous and one-sided against President Trump and anyone associated with him,” Mitchell said, noting “the criminalization of the practice of law should concern every lawyer and judge in America,” when speaking out about recent prosecutions.
