On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, the Wisconsin Supreme Court announced that no petitions were granted back on Feb. 21. 2024.

On Wednesday, the Wisconsin Law Journal asked the Supreme Court why there was a nearly 3-week delay in alerting the public and news media of their decision not accept any new cases.

On Thursday, a Supreme Court spokesperson told the Wisconsin Law Journal, the court is following its “normal internal procedures for release.  Because the information in the news release is manually compiled, which takes time for our staff, the release typically issues well after the conference it summarizes.”

“The Wisconsin Supreme Court recently (almost a month ago) voted not to accept any new cases, and the Court acted to deny review in a number of other cases. The case numbers, counties of origin and the issues presented in granted cases are listed below,” a spokesperson for the Court said Wednesday in a written statement.
