Milwaukee-based Mallery s.c. has announced attorneys Christopher L. Strohbehn, Russell J. Karnes and Samantha S. Bailey have joined the firm.

Strohbehn has practiced for more than 20 years across the state of Wisconsin. He represents all types of clients, from individuals to small businesses, to large national corporations. He’s been selected as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” for Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Litigation since 2018, as well as selected as a “Wisconsin Super Lawyer” since 2014.

He has authored numerous articles and has presented at numerous seminars in the State of Wisconsin as it relates to personal injury litigation and property tax appeals. Strohbehn maintains a diverse litigation practice that focuses on personal injury, insurance coverage litigation, civil litigation, and commercial property tax appeals. Chris has practiced throughout the state of Wisconsin, including serving as lead counsel and arguing several cases that were before the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Karnes has substantial trial and appellate experience and has a diverse civil litigation practice focused on real estate, property tax assessment appeals, contract and business disputes, quiet title actions, foreclosure and title insurance litigation, misrepresentation claims, collection actions, and municipal law. Karnes has made court appearances in nearly every county in the State, firm officials noted. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and Illinois, as well as the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Eastern and Western District Courts of Wisconsin, the Northern, Southern and Central District Courts of Illinois, the Northern and Southern District Courts of Indiana, and the Menominee Tribal Courts. He also assists clients in their business, estate planning and real estate transactions. He was selected as a “Wisconsin Super Lawyer” in 2022, as well as a “Best Lawyers in America” for Business Organizations. Recently, Karnes was elected to the State Bar Board of Governors and works as a volunteer in the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic.

Bailey is admitted to practice throughout the state of Wisconsin and the federal court system. She is involved in a wide range of civil litigation cases and does both plaintiff and defense work. Bailey was named by Best Lawyers in America as one of the “Ones to Watch” in Real Estate and Personal Injury Litigation. She also serves her community through various pro bono work including work with Sojourner Family Peace Center’s domestic violence intervention services. Previously, Attorneys Strohbehn, Karnes and Bailey practiced together at another downtown Milwaukee law firm.
