Albert S. Orr is the new chief executive officer of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren.

Orr began his term as CEO of the Milwaukee-based firm on July 1, succeeding the long-time Reinhart CEO Jerome M. Janzer.

Orr previously served as a chairman of the firm’s corporate law practice, leader of its private equity group and a member of Reinhart’s Board of Directors.

As CEO, Orr will lead the firm as it helps clients deal with situations resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic consequences. In a statement, Orr said Reinhart’s attorneys are dedicated to helping clients “weather this crisis and emerge from it in a position of renewed growth.”

Janzer had been Reinhart CEO for 14 years, and the firm’s board carried out a multi-year plan to find his successor, according to a press release. Board members selected Orr in December with Janzer continuing as CEO until July 1.

Janzer will now serve as chairman emeritus and continue his law practice with the firm. He’ll work practice.

Reinhart employs more than 200 lawyers who serve clients throughout the U.S. and internationally. The business-oriented law firm has offices in Milwaukee, Madison, Waukesha, Wausau, Chicago, Rockford, Minneapolis, Denver and Phoenix.
