Gov. Tony Evers is taking applications for a vacant register of deeds position in Milwaukee County.
The appointee would fill the spot left by John La Fave, who resigned on Friday. The term for the position ends January 4, 2021.
Those interested in applying must submit a cover letter, resume and three professional references through an online application, which can be found at www.evers.wi.gov. If the online application doesn’t work, applicants should submit a cover letter and resume to [email protected], according to a news released. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on April 25.
The cover letter should include what professional and academic experiences qualify them to be the register of deeds, their civic activities and community involvement.
