The Wisconsin Association of African American Lawyers and the Milwaukee branch of the NAACP are organizing a panel on which speakers will discuss children’s court.
The event, called “Children and the System: A Discussion of CHIPS, TPR and Children’s Court,” will start at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 17 at the NAACP Milwaukee Branch Office in Milwaukee, immediately after the NAACP’s general meeting.
The panel will feature Carmen Ortiz, chief staff attorney for Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee; assistant district attorney Brittany Grayson of the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office; and Nadya Perez Reyes, assistant state public defender.
T.R. Williams, advocacy and government relations specialist at Wisconsin Primary Health Care Association, will moderate the discussion.
