Walker chooses new register of deeds for Florence County

Gov. Scott Walker has appointed a long-time Florence County employee to be the new county register of deeds.

Walker recently announced that Laurie Boren, the deputy register of deeds in Florence County, will take the place of current the Florence County Register of Deeds, Pattie Gehlhoff.

Boren has been with the county’s register of deeds office for more than 20 years, four of which she spent as manager of title and abstract records.
