Election to fill vacancy on Winnebago County bench (UPDATE)

Gov. Scott Walker is announcing that an election will take place to fill a vacancy on Winnebago County Circuit Court created by Judge Thomas Gritton’s retirement.

The governor’s office had previously announced that Gritton was resigning on July 31 and that applications would be accepted from possible successors. The seat will in fact be filled via election in April.
