Torts — additur

Julie Redfearn appeals the judgment in a personal injury lawsuit awarding her $10,000 for past pain and suffering, and dismissing the derivative claims of her husband and children. Redfearn also appeals the order denying her motions after verdict for additur or, in the alternative, a new trial. Redfearn argues that the circuit court applied the incorrect standard when denying her request for additur. She also claims that the cumulative effect of prejudicial and improper statements at trial warranted a new trial in the interest of justice. We reject these arguments and affirm the judgment and the order. This opinion will not be published.
