ON THE MOVE

wdw-headshots-110813Murphy Desmond SC opened an Appleton office to serve the Fox Valley region. The new location is managed by Warren Kraft. Madison lawyers Glorily Lopez and Jane Ginger Zimmerman will expand their legal practices to the area, as well.

ON THE RISE

Cynthia Buchko was named vice president of legal services and Lynda Templen was named vice president of client services at Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek SC.

Buchko is a shareholder in the firm’s Madison office and previously served as a co-chair of the litigation practice group. She concentrates on commercial litigation, real estate litigation and energy and mining law. She earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Templen is a shareholder in the firm’s Milwaukee office and previously served as the firm’s vice president of legal services. She has extensive bond and tax experience and is the lead attorney for hundreds of conduit development bonds, general obligation bond issues and the majority of the firm’s municipal and school district bond counsel engagements. She earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Robert Heinrich, Foley & Lardner LLP, was elected vice president of the Wisconsin Association for Financial Professionals. Heinrich is a partner at Foley & Lardner LLP’s Milwaukee office and a member of the firm’s finance and financial institutions practice, and sports industry team. He earned his law degree in 1998 from the University of Minnesota.

• Quarles & Brady LLP announced seven attorneys from its Milwaukee and Madison offices were inducted to the Fellows of the Wisconsin Law Foundation.

Sarah Coyne, Greg Everts, Ann Murphy and Tom Phillips and retired partners Frank Daily, Julianna Ebert and Harry Holz were all named to the 2013 Class of the Fellows program. They join 282 members who have been recognized by their peers for high professional achievement in the legal profession and their contributions to improve the administration of justice in Wisconsin.

• Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek SC announced the election of Joseph Pickart and the re-election of Jerard Jensen to its Board of Directors.

Pickart, a shareholder in the Milwaukee office, leads the state and local taxation team. He earned his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.

Jensen is the managing shareholder of the Madison office and has served on the board since 2001. He has practiced finance law, health law and corporate law for more than 25 years. He earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

YOU’RE HIRED

Joseph Birdsall and James Remington joined the Milwaukee office of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek SC.

Birdsall joined the firm’s human resources law practice group and is a member of the worker’s compensation team. He earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School.

Remington joined the firm’s litigation practice group and is a member of the corporate compliance and white collar defense team. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced as a criminal defense attorney with the State Public Defender’s Office in Janesville, and as a defense attorney at law firms in both Madison and Milwaukee. He earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
