Evidence — other acts — rape shield law — prior false allegations

Rogelio Cortez, Jr., appeals from a judgment convicting him of repeated sexual assault of a child as a persistent repeater. He contends that the circuit court erroneously exercised its discretion by admitting other acts evidence against him and refusing to admit evidence of prior allegations of sexual assault made by the victim. He further contends that he should receive a new trial in the interest of justice. We reject Cortez’s claims and affirm the judgment. This opinion will not be published.
