Criminal Procedure — ineffective assistance

Gerald Dehate appeals a judgment convicting him of repeated sexual assault of a child and incest with his stepdaughter. He also appeals an order denying his postconviction motion in which he alleged ineffective assistance of counsel. He contends his counsel was ineffective for failing to impeach the victim’s mother with evidence that she had been convicted of three crimes and for failing to make any argument at the sentencing hearing. We reject these arguments and affirm the judgment and order. This opinion will not be published.
