Members of the legal community swapped their suits, ties and robes for shorts, T-shirts and running shoes July 25 to take part in the second 5K Run for Justice.
The 5-kilometer run and 1-mile walk kicked off at downtown Milwaukee’s Veteran’s Park on a 94-degree day and drew an estimated 160 walkers and runners, not counting babies in strollers.
The event was designed to raise money for the Milwaukee Justice Center. The volunteer-based center helps unrepresented, low-income litigants in Milwaukee County navigate the judicial system.
