Criminal Procedure — ineffective assistance

Brian L. Devroy appeals a judgment of conviction of first-degree intentional homicide for the stabbing death of his roommate, Scott Lewek. Devroy also appeals an order denying his postconviction motion for a new trial based on ineffective assistance of counsel and trial court error. Because we conclude that Devroy has not satisfied the standard for demonstrating ineffective assistance of counsel, and because the effect of the trial court’s error was de minimis, we affirm. Not recommended for publication in the official reports.
