The Brookfield attorney arrested in a church after skipping two plea hearings last week will return to court Jan. 10.
Thomas Bielinski, 52, is scheduled to appear before Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge J.D. Watts in two weeks for the bail hearing.
Bielinski is being held in Milwaukee County Jail without bond, said prosecuting attorney Kurt Benkley. He was arrested and taken into custody by U.S. Marshals on Dec. 21 at Holy Hill in Hubertus after failing to appear in court on two occasions Dec. 19.
Bielinski is charged with stealing $542,231.61 through a complex foreclosure scam in Milwaukee and was expected to plead guilty to felony charges at the Dec. 19 plea hearings he skipped.
