Genevieve S. Thornberry appeals an amended judgment convicting her of causing mental harm to a child, contrary to WIS. STAT. § 948.04(1) (2017-18), to the extent that it ordered her to register as a sex offender under WIS. STAT. § 301.45.

In Coleman v. Labor & Industry Review Commission, 860 F.3d 461 (7th Cir. 2017), we held that a magistrate judge does not have the authority to enter a final judgment in a case when only one party—in that case, the plaintiff—has consented to the magistrate judge’s jurisdiction.
Sentencing Guidelines – Enhancement
For certain federal crimes involving sexual exploitation of minors, a federal statute— 18 U.S.C. § 2252(b)—increases the mandatory minimum sentence when the defendant has a prior conviction “under the laws of any State relating to,” among other things, “possession … of child pornography.”
ADEA Violation
Plaintiff-appellant David McDaniel alleges his former employer, defendant-appellee Progress Rail Locomotive, Inc., unlawfully discriminated against him on the basis of age and retaliated against him for complaining about a superior, in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (“ADEA”), 29 U.S.C. §§ 621–34.
