Halling & Cayo‘s Trevor Leverson focuses his practice on advising health systems and providers in litigation, regulatory compliance and government investigations.
He regularly defends physicians and practices against claims involving overpayments, fraud and abuse and professional misconduct. Leverson’s expertise includes guiding clients through complex inquiries by federal and state agencies, including the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Office of the Inspector General, the FBI and their state counterparts.
Taking a proactive approach, Leverson works with providers to ensure their billing, documentation and operational practices meet all legal requirements for reimbursement and retention of funds. While his practice is heavily focused on health care law matters, Leverson additionally counsels clients on business and real estate transactions, business operations and contract and tort litigation.
Leverson is also a member of the State Bar’s Health Law Section.
