On Thursday, the Brad Schimel for Justice campaign announced that it has raised over $2.2 million since entering the race for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
In the past six months, the Schimel campaign raised $1.5 million – more than double any candidate in Wisconsin Supreme Court history has raised during this period, according to the campaign. The fundraising haul is five times greater than what conservatives raised in the same period just two years ago.
“People are tired of judges putting their personal agendas above the law and that’s reflected in the enthusiasm for our campaign,” said Schimel. “I am humbled by the outpouring of support and this historic haul is a testament to the momentum we’re experiencing in every corner of the state. The people of Wisconsin know that I’ve spent my life serving them and I will always defend what is right.”
According to Schimel’s campaign, most notably, 98% of the campaign’s donors are from Wisconsin. The only campaign running a statewide race, the Schimel campaign has received contributions from donors in 70 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties.
Schimel begins 2025 with $1.8 million cash on hand.
“As a prosecutor, attorney general and judge, Brad Schimel has dedicated his life to defending victims, supporting law enforcement, and ensuring that criminals are held accountable,” his campaign said in a written statement.
On Wednesday, Judge Susan Crawford‘s campaign announced that it has raised more than $2.8 million since entering the race in June 2024 — a historic sum and more than any Wisconsin Supreme Court campaign in history.
In the period spanning July to December 2024, Crawford raised over $2.4 million.
“As a prosecutor, attorney, and judge, I’ve always been guided by the same basic values of right and wrong that I learned growing up in Chippewa Falls,” said Crawford.
“I’m honored to be on the ballot and grateful to have the historic outpouring of support from so many Wisconsinites in nearly every county. It’s more important than ever to have a common sense Justice on the Wisconsin Supreme Court who does what’s right, and over the next three months I’m committed to earning the trust and support of Wisconsinites across the state,” Crawford added.
According to Crawford’s campaign, grassroots donors from 71 of 72 counties across Wisconsin have donated, and since launching her campaign in June, Crawford has crisscrossed the state, meeting with voters and highlighting how important this election will be.
Crawford’s campaign’s January Continuing Report, which is due Wednesday, includes more than 8,000 contributions from nearly 6,000 individual donors.
Crawford is entering 2025 with over $2.1 million cash on hand.
