Rebeca Lopez believes in being proactive and helping clients avoid employment problems before they arise. If that’s not possible, she works with clients to effectively solve their problems.

A member of Godfrey & Kahn’s Labor, Employment & Immigration Law Practice, Lopez works with businesses in the service, manufacturing, distribution, retail and hospitality industries to solve any labor and employment issues.

Lopez uses her prior experience managing an office and working directly with HR professionals to bring forward cost-effective and pragmatic solutions when working with her clients. That previous work experience helps her understand what her clients are going through.

In her practice, Lopez guides businesses through a variety of employment matters including wage and hour obligations, disability and religious accommodation requests, restrictive covenant drafting, enforcement and defense, business closings and layoffs, internal investigations and paid sick and family leave laws.

Lopez’s experience includes defending employers before administrative agencies and courts where she has handled single-plaintiff and class-action claims alleging discrimination, harassment or wage and hour violation.
