With more than 25 years of experience in employment law, there still is never a dull moment for Laurie Meyer.
Meyer is a partner at the Milwaukee office of Amundsen Davis. Her undergraduate studies in human resources created a seamless transition to a legal career, representing clients of varying sizes and scales in employment-based disputes and litigation.
Meyer’s unique background in HR fuels an approach centered around keeping a constant eye focused on compliance and risk mitigation, first learning about the employer’s business, operations, and industry.
“My clients have thus come to look to me as a business partner—that is not a responsibility I take lightly. I know the law and I know their business, and my goal is always to help them succeed and grow,” said Meyer.
For many of Meyer’s long-term clients, the relationship began with retaining Meyer through Employment Practices Liability insurance.
Making meaningful connections is something she continues to do with her association with the Defense Research Institute.
