When working with clients, Laura L. Malugade, a partner at Husch Blackwell, immerses herself in their businesses to understand the situation before building a strategy to solve the current employment issue and prevent possible litigation.
In her practice, Malugade oversees U.S. labor and employment matters nationwide for global manufacturers, including Fortune 500 companies. She guides strategy and seeks to move litigation to a positive resolution.
Her practice is divided between counseling clients and litigation. Malugade provides day-to-day counseling to business leaders and HR professionals to determine how to mitigate risk and develop and implement policies and practices to prevent litigation.
If litigation is needed, Malugade has extensive experience, handling cases in both federal and state courts and handling claims before administrative agencies. She handles single plaintiff and class action litigation on allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wage and hour violations.
Besides preventative counsel and litigation, Malugade helps clients with labor and employment matters during corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
