Erik Eisenmann enjoys the variety that comes with practicing employment law. A single day may include discussions about possible litigation and talking with a longtime client about avoiding a potential workplace issue.
“It’s a great mix of litigation and providing counsel to clients,” said Eisenmann, chair of Husch Blackwell’s Labor & Employment practice group.
He first became interested in employment law during as class at George Washington Law School. Then as a summer associate, he observed the firm’s employment attorneys and saw the mix of work they did.
“Employment law has a lot of variety and it’s interesting subject matter,” Eisenmann said.
Eisenmann works with a range of clients from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies, helping them draft and enforce employment-related documents
“The law is always evolving, which is a blessing and a curse,” he said. “It keeps things interesting but you need to keep up with all the latest changes.”
