Brian Spahn does not shy away from complex cases.

“I focus on challenging cases and no two are ever the same,” said Spahn, an attorney at Godfrey & Kahn, who focuses on complex litigation, corporate compliance and internal investigations.

“Working with a diverse group of employers keeps the job interesting as do working with people from so many different backgrounds,” he continued.

Spahn has handled multiple cases involving employees leaving one job and taking their previous company’s trade secrets with them to their new employer. “Those cases are oftentimes more challenging and interesting,” he said, adding he successfully defended against a multimillion dollar trade secret misappropriation case.

Spahn also focuses on corporate compliance issues, routinely advising clients on compliance policies including anti-bribery and corruption policies, supplier codes of conduct, and protocols for addressing and responding to government subpoenas and civil investigative demands.

“Employment law cases tend to have a lot of emotions involved so that is another part of the case you need to manage,” he said.
