It is not unusual for Bob Simandl’s plans for a day to go awry.
“If I have three things on my to do list, there’s a 50-50 chance they’ll get done since my day can easily be interrupted by a client with an important concern,” said Simandl, shareholder and chair of von Briesen & Roper’s Labor and Employment Section.
Not that he minds.
“Every day is fresh and every case has a different twist and turn,” Simandl said. “There’s so much energy around the issues. It’s very exciting.”
With more than 30 years of experience, Simandl enjoys the interactive nature and the human element of employment law. He handles a range of cases from employment contracts and racial discrimination to threats of violence.
“Everything you see in society shows up in employment law. It’s invigorating,” he said.
In his practice, Simandl advises clients on a wide range of employee benefit, labor and employment law issues. He said the practice requires commitment since he needs to be there when clients have concerns.
