Adam Richardson has been convicted of two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle after pleading guilty to the charges.
The convictions stem from a drunk driving crash in Fond du Lac County on Feb. 26, 2022, that killed two occupants in the vehicle, according to the criminal complaint. Judge Anthony Nehls revoked bond, ordered a pre-sentence investigation and a sentencing date has been set for April 29.
“We continue to see the devastation that drunk driving causes in our communities and our thoughts and prayers go out to the families that have lost a loved one in this crash,” District Attorney Toney said. “We hope these convictions assist others in making the right decision to find a sober ride home to help ensure everyone gets home safely to their loved ones.”
The defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 30 years in jail and 20 years of extended supervision. The case was investigated by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Catherine Block.
