Focus: Standard for Dangerousness
Spencer appeals from an order denying his petition to discharge his commitment as a person adjudged not guilty of a criminal offense by reason of mental disease or defect (NGI). Spencer challenges the circuit court’s determination that he meets the standard for dangerousness required to continue his NGI commitment. The appeals court concludes that the record contains sufficient evidence to support the dangerousness determination.
Affirmed.
