Jose A. Arevalo-Viera appeals from a judgment, entered upon a jury’s verdict, for four counts of first-degree sexual assault, one count of second-degree sexual assault, one count of kidnapping as a party to a crime, and one count of armed robbery. Arevalo-Viera argues that the trial court erred when it admitted other-acts evidence of attempted similar conduct. The appeals court concludes that the trial court’s decision to admit the evidence was within its discretion.
