Michael Best Strategies hires former Humana executive, doctor to Healthcare Innovation Group

Michael Best Strategies has added a former Humana executive and a doctor to its Healthcare Innovation Group.

Tamara (Tami) Quiram, who is out of Waukesha, is a network partner principal at the business consulting, government relations, and public affairs affiliate of law firm Michael Best. She has more than 25 years of health-care industry knowledge with a background in finance, analytics, risk management, clinical operations and product development. She previously served as senior vice president of clinical operations for Humana and in several other leadership roles at the company.

As a network partner principal, she will be responsible for building strong relationships with payers and providers assist in meeting their needs.

Terry Sullivan is a senior clinical strategist and principal based in Denver. He has more than 30 years of experience identifying and carrying out solutions in the health-care and insurance industries to improve patient outcomes and reduce health-care costs. He was the former chief medical officer at The Nebraska Health Information Exchange, CareRise Companies and Clinical Outcomes Management Solutions Interactive prior to joining Michael Best Strategies.

As part of the firm’s Healthcare Innovation Group, he will help health-care innovators bring their products to the marketplace and become sustainable organizations.

Robert Marchant, president of Michael Best Strategies, said the two new hires will play a key role in enhancing the firm’s health-care consulting practice with their decades of experience. Kristine Seymour, partner at Michael Best Strategies in the Healthcare Group, agreed that Quiram and Sullivan’s knowledge and existing relationships will be of great value in serving the firm’s clients.

Quiram earned her degree in accounting from the University of Iowa. Sullivan received both his bachelor’s degree and his M.D. from Georgetown University.
