MILWAUKEE (AP) — Three people from Keshena have been indicted by a federal grand jury for their alleged involvement in a drug overdose death on the Menominee Indian Reservation.

The indictment accuses 28-year-old Alissa Waupoose and 39-year-old Ronald Frechette of distributing the fentanyl that killed a man in September 2016. A third person, 41-year-old Kelly Nacotee, is accused of deleting messages between Frechette and the victim after learning about the overdose.

Waupoose and Frechette are charged with distributing a controlled substance resulting in death and second-degree murder. Nacotee is charged with concealing a felony.

It was not immediately clear if the three have hired attorneys to speak on their behalf.
