For almost 15 years, James Egle has helped guide Stafford Rosenbaum’s business decisions.

During that time, the firm has doubled the number of attorneys it has on staff. Egle’s business acumen, legal expertise and leadership all contributed greatly to that growth.

Egle’s primary expertise is in the acquisition and sale of businesses, contract negotiations, tax and franchise law, and more. During his time at the firm he has represented clients in industries ranging from health care to construction, real estate and more. Egle is the financial partner on Stafford Rosenbaum’s board of directors, from which he advises the firm on financial matters while leading two committees. He is known to listen carefully to his partners, colleagues and employees, then respond thoughtfully with advice on promoting growth and the firm’s business objectives.

“At its best, the practice of law values strong communication skills, rewards creative problem-solving and leads to the resolution of conflicts, all while acting in an ethical manner,” Egle said. “Few professions offer such challenges and satisfaction on a daily basis. It’s humbling to be recognized as a Leader in the Law, especially considering the list of past recipients of this award and their considerable contributions to the law and our communities.”

Egle is involved in organizations such as the Capital Candlelighters, the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Parents Advisory Group, and the Verona Area High School Cross Country Boosters Club.

Beyond that, The University of Wisconsin Law School graduate has been twice recognized for his pro-bono work by the “Extra Mile,” an award from The Rainbow Project, a local non-profit organization that serves children and families. In his previous “life,” he worked as a sportswriter for The Milwaukee Journal, the Green Bay Press-Gazette and USA Today.

“Jim possesses the legal acumen and experience that make him highly regarded within the legal community and the firm,” said Chris Hughes, managing partner at Stafford Rosenbaum, in his nomination form. “He deserves to be recognized as a Leader in the Law.”
