Body of missing La Crosse woman found in lake

LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) — The body of a missing La Crosse woman has been found in a Vernon County lake and police are investigating her death as a homicide.

Authorities say the body of 35-year-old Erin Bushek was found by fishermen Sunday in Runge Hollow Lake. Authorities did not say how she died.

Bushek’s family reported her missing June 4. La Crosse police, Vernon County sheriff’s deputies and the state Division of Criminal Investigation are working the case.
