The Milwaukee Bar Association will hold a forum in February for the three candidates now vying for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

The Madison-based attorney Tim Burns of Perkins Coie, Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Rebecca Dallet and Sauk County Circuit Court Judge Michael Screnock are vying for Justice Michael Gableman’s seat. Gableman announced last year that he would not be running for re-election.

The three candidates will meet at a forum scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Milwaukee Bar Association, 424 E. Wells St. The forum will be moderated by Charles Benson and Shannon Sims of Today’s TMJ4 .

The event is open to the public and will be streamed live on the Milwaukee Bar Association’s website.

This is not he first time the candidates have appeared in a forum together. Earlier this month, they faced off at a forum organized by the Milwaukee Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society, a group of conservatives and libertarians dedicated to promoting the rule of law, individual liberty and traditional values.

Voters head to the polls Feb. 20 to decide which two of the three will move on to the general election, which will be held on April 3.
