Gov. Scott Walker has tapped a deputy prosecutor to be Outagamie County district attorney.
Walker announced that he had appointed Melinda Tempelis to fill a spot left vacant when Walker appointed outgoing DA Carrie Schneider to fill a spot on the Outagamie County Circuit Court.
Tempelis has been a prosecutor in Outagamie County for nearly 15 years, 10 of which were spent as a deputy district attorney. She earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2002.
